feel alive again

I welcome you to take a deep breath, relax your shoulders, and thank your body for carrying you this far. Through the therapeutic process, together we will reframe your narrative and reconnect you and your body. This reconnection is what it means to be alive, fully human. I wish for you to feel alive and know you are not alone in this journey.

About

together we will learn to surf the waves of life

Something brought you here, and I imagine it took courage to arrive. Maybe you've spent years managing, holding yourself together while something underneath keeps pulling at you, showing up in your relationships, your sleep, the way you speak to yourself when no one else is listening. Maybe you've worked hard and built a full life, and yet there's a part of you that still doesn't feel free. You might not have the words for what happened, only the weight of how it lives in you now. I became a therapist because I genuinely believe that weight can lift, not through years of white-knuckling it, but through healing that actually reaches the places where trauma has settled in your body and mind. I specialize in EMDR therapy for adults navigating complex trauma, childhood wounds, and the kind of exhaustion that comes from carrying too much for too long. EMDR is one of the most well-researched approaches to trauma treatment available, and what draws me to it is that it doesn't require you to narrate every painful detail of your history. It works with the way your nervous system holds memory, helping you process experiences that have felt stuck, so that what happened begins to belong to the past rather than continuing to shape your present. My approach is body-centered and relational, drawing on somatic awareness and mindfulness alongside EMDR. I believe that healing which reaches the body tends to be the healing that lasts, and I pay close attention to what your body is communicating alongside what your words are saying. I want you to feel genuinely seen and cared for in our work together, to understand your inner world with curiosity rather than judgment, and to gradually find more ease and freedom in how you move through your life. You set the pace entirely. We go at the speed of safety, and I'll be right alongside you. If something here resonates with where you are, I'd love to connect over a free 15-minute consultation. Email is the best way to reach me.
